Govednik had two goals and two assists in a pair of ECAC Women's
West games at SUNY Oswego. In a 4-3 win on Sunday, Govednik
had a goal and two assists.
Goalie of the Week
Mel Brunet, Neumann College
Freshman - Sudbury, Ontario/Sudbury
Wolves
Brunet stopped 33 of 34 in a 2-1 win over Williams College for a
.970 save percentage on the win. Mel returned on Saturday for
game two with Williams. Stopping an amazing 58 of 60 shots, leading
the Knights to a 2-2 tie on her way to stopping 96.6 percent of the
shots in the game. On the weekend Mel stopped 91 of 94 shots for a
96.8 save percentage, going 1-0-1.
Rookie of the Week
Amanda Klassen, Rochester Institute of
Technology
Forward - Winnipeg, MB/Warner Warriors
Klassen recorded her first collegiate hat-trick, as the #5 Tigers defeated then #1 SUNY Plattsburgh 5-2 on Saturday. Down 2-0 in the second period, Klassen got the Tigers to within one on the power-play. She then scored the game-winning goal shorthanded early in the third period and then scored an empty net power-play goal with nine seconds left to seal the win. The forward now has 10 goals and three assists for 13 points this season. Klassen also has nine goals in her last eight games. It was RIT's first ever win over a #1 team and first win over SUNY Plattsburgh.

Hilary Hitchman, Oswego State
Sophomore, Goalie - Potsdam, N.Y./North Country Ice
Storm
Hitchman stopped 39 of the 40 shots she faced on the weekend, with
26 saves and just one goal against in a victory over Chatham on
Saturday. She entered Sunday's game with the Lakers trailing 4-1
and stopped all 13 shots fired her way, allowing Oswego State to
make a comeback attempt.
Briana Bartlett, Cortland State
Freshman, Goalie - Rome, NY/Syracuse
Stars
Bartlett made a career-high 40 saves in a tough 1-0 loss to ECAC West foe Utica College on Tuesday. For the season, Bartlett has a 1-4-0 record with a 2.42 GAA and a very impressive .921 save perecentage.
Mariah Fairgrieve, Buffalo State
Freshman, Defenseman - Ft. Erie,
Ontario/Stoney Creek Junior
Sabres
Fairgrieve scored a goal and an assist in 5-2 loss to Utica. She is tied for the team lead with six points.
