CASTLETON WOMEN SET TO PINK THE RINK

Castleton, VT - On Wednesday, February 10th the Castleton State College women's hockey team along with the Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) and the Foley Cancer Center are all joining forces to Pink the Rink and raise breast cancer awareness. The Spartans will wear collectors' edition pink jerseys donated by the Rutland Regional Medical Center in the February 10th game versus Norwich at 7:00 p.m. The jerseys are currently being auctioned off on the Castleton web site, with all proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Program at RRMC.
Tickets to the event are available at Spartan Arena, Glenbrook Gymnasium, the RRMC Gift Shop, or by calling 802-468-64462. Adult tickets are $6.00, students $3.00, and Castleton will donate all proceeds to the Breast Cancer Program at RRMC.
Admission tickets will be entered to win a chance at shooting to win a 2009 Toyota Camry, sponsored by Alderman's Toyota. One lucky fan will be chosen to shoot from the far blue line into the special goal. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase $5.00 chances to shoot from the red line. Again, all proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Program at RRMC. Stipulations apply, and fans are encouraged to go to the Castleton web site for more information.
In addition to great hockey action, and a chance to win a new car, Patten Oil will have its pink truck on hand, as well as handmade pink scarves, mittens and a blanket raffle to help benefit this worthy cause.
The Rutland Area Hockey Association (RAHA) and the Rutland High School girls hockey team will be on hand at 6:00 p.m. for face painting and sign making in the Spartan Arena lobby. All in attendance are encouraged to wear pink to help show support.
