UMass Boston's Phillips and Manhattanville's Nonis Share Player of the Week Award

Co-Players of the Week

Sam Phillips-UMass Boston
Sophomore, Forward, Scottsdale, Ariz./New England College

In two games, the sophomore tallied six points on three goals and three assists, including a game-winner and short-handed tally.  The forward netted a pair of goals and added two assists for a career-high of four points and potted the game-winner on a short-handed goal in the Beacons' 5-4 victory at University of Southern Maine on January 22.  She came back the next day to score a goal and add an assist at Plymouth State University.

Holly Nonis-Manhattanville
Junior, Forward, Brampton, Ontario/Saint Thomas Aquinas

Nonis finished the week with four goals and two assists as Manhattanville went 2-0 with victories over Saint  Michael's and Salve Regina. Against Saint Michael's she scored her first hat trick of the season and had a goal and two assists against Salve Regina.

Goalie of the Week

Teryasa White-New England College
Sophomore, Belgrade, Maine/Brewster Academy

White allowed just one goal in two complete games in net for the Pilgrims this week.  She finished the week with a 2-0-0 record and totaled 59 saves.  In Tuesday's win over Wesleyan White stopped 16 Cardinal shots. On Saturday White recorded her sixth career shutout recording 43 saves in NEC's 1-0 win over Saint Anselm College.

Rookie of the Week

Kathryn Picarello-Saint Anselm
Freshman, Forward, West Roxbury, Mass./Southfield School

Picarello assisted the go-ahead goal and then scored the game-winner four minutes later in the third period on Friday night to lead the Hawks to a 5-3 victory over the Holy Cross Crusaders.

Honor Roll

Katie Paradis-Southern Maine
Sophomore, Forward, Rochester, N.H./Lady Freeze

Paradis helped the Huskies post a 1-1 week scoring three goals and passing out three assists.  She had a power-play goal and an assist in the Huskies 5-4 loss to UMass Boston, then came back the next afternoon to score two goals and dish out two assists in a 7-2 win over Nichols.

Chrissy Skrzat-Saint Michael's
Freshman, Forward, Lansdale, Pa./Boston Shamrocks

Skrzat helped her team force the Salve Regina Seahawks into overtime on Saturday, as she tallied an assist and two goals in the Purple Knight's 5-4 overtime loss. Her second goal of the game tied the teams at 4-all in the second period, creating the need for the five minute overtime.

Julia Gould-UMass Boston
Freshman, Defender, Flemington, N.J./Princeton Tigerlillies

In two games, the defenseman picked up two points on a goal and an assist.  The freshman netted her first collegiate goal and added a helper on January 23 at Plymouth State University.

Cindy Fortin-Norwich
Junior, Goalie, Quebec City, Quebec/John Abbott College

Fortin stopped 38 shots in Norwich's 1-1 overtime tie at Williams on Tuesday.

Sophia Kokkonis-Manhattanville
Senior, Goalie, East Meadow, N.Y./Northwood

Kokkonis posted a shutout as she blanked Saint Michael's 4-0 on Friday night. The senior was asked to make only 17 saves as she picked up her sixth victory of the season.
