Jocelyn Kratchmer-Holy Cross

Kratchmer scored four goals and recorded three assists in three games last week, including a 5-1 win over Colby when she had 2 goals and 1 assist, a 2-1 win vs. New England College when she tallied 1 assist and a 5-0 win over Nichols where she had 2 goals and 1 assist. She has scored a point in her last five games, dating back to Dec. 5 at Castleton.

Leah Hallett-UMass Boston
Sophomore, Rocky Hill, Conn./Connecticut Polar Bear
In three games, including the Third Annual Women's Codfish Bowl on January 2-3, the sophomore registered a 1.50 goals against average, while posting a stellar .962 save percentage with 101 saves in 160 minutes of action. Hallett stopped 43 of 44 shots to earn a 3-1 victory over number six nationally-ranked Lake Forest College in the first round of the Third Annual Women's Codfish Bowl on January 2 and made 40 saves in a 3-0 loss to number 10 nationally- ranked Trinity College in the Codfish Bowl championship and was named to the Codfish Bowl All-Tournament team. The second-year goaltender stopped all 18 shots she faced in two periods of play at Saint Michael's College to earn the victory on January 8.
Rookie of the Week
Caroline English-Holy Cross
Forward, Dorchester, Mass./Tabor Academy
English scored two goals and recorded four assists in three games
last week. She had one goal and two assists in a 5-1 win over
Colby. English also had one goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over
Nichols. She is tied for 5th in ECAC freshman scoring.
Honor Roll
Crystal Sarno-Saint Michael's
Senior, Forward, Stoneham, Mass./Canterbury School
Sarno was a key component in the Purple Knight's winning the
Holiday Classic at the start of their 2010 schedule. In their 5-3
win over Colby on Jan. 2, Sarno recorded two goals and an assist,
including the game-winning goal. The following afternoon, Sarno
tallied another game-winning goal, sealing the first place spot for
Saint Michael's and earning her tournament MVP honors.
Maria Nasta- UMass Boston
Senior, Forward, Andover, Mass./New England College
In three games, including the Third Annual Codfish Bowl on
January 2-3, the senior tallied four points with three goals and an
assist. The forward recorded an assist and netted a goal for her
100th career point in the Beacons' 3-1 victory over number six
nationally-ranked Lake Forest College in the first round of the
Third Annual Women's Codfish Bowl on January 2. Nasta potted a pair
of goals at Saint Michael's College on January 8, including her
third career short-handed goal to place her second on the UMass
Boston career list for short-handed tallies.
Melanie Sherlock-Salve Regina
Freshman, Forward, Colorado Springs, Colo./Rampart
Sherlock potted three goals in a pair of games this
weekend for the Seahawks. She scored the first goal and the
game-tying goal in Friday night's 4-4 tie at Norwich, then scored
again in a 4-3 win at NEC on Saturday. On the year, she sits third
on the team with eight points (5-3-8).
Monique Gallant-Holy Cross
Junior, Goalie, Antigonish, Nova Scotia/Canterbury
Gallant recorded a shutout against Nichols, and only allowed one
goal in two games, and had 18 total saves.
