UMass-Boston's Rose Devlin Named ECAC Women's East Player of the Week

Player of the Week

Rose Devlin, UMass Boston
Senior, Defense - Quincy, Mass./North Quincy H.S.

In the Beacons season opener at Salve Regina University on November 3, the defenseman tallied two points with an assist and the game-winning tally for her third career multi-point effort.  The game-winner was the first of her career.  She is currently tied for the team-lead in scoring.

Goalie of the Week

Vanessa Carter, Castleton State College
Senior - Summerstown, Ontario/Cornwall Typhoon

In a 1-1 weekend at Cortland State Carter stopped a total of 55 shots, earning a save percentage of .902.

Rookie of the Week

Gabrielle Gardner, Salve Regina University
Forward - Farmington Hills, Mich./Mercy

Gardner scored in each of her first two college games, scoring against both St. Anselm and Mass.-Boston. She had a goal and two assists against the Beacons, finishing the week with two goals and two assists.

Honor Roll

Kelsey Johnson, Saint Anselm College
Junior, Forward - Byfield, Mass./Governor Dummer

Johnson netted a hat trick with all three goals being scored in the third period against Salve Regina.

Jessica Sams, UMass Boston
Junior, Goaltender - Bellingham, Mass./Northeastern University

The junior stopped 32 shots for a .889 save percentage in the Beacons season-opening victory at Salve Regina University on November 3.

Rachel Sousa, UMass Boston
Freshman, Forward - Woburn, Mass./Chelmsford Lions

Sousa made her collegiate debut on November 3 with two points on a goal and an assist versus Salve Regina.
