ECAC Women's East member Manhattanville College and ECAC Women's West member Plattsburgh State will meet in the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's National Championship game today at Strafford Arena on the campus of Plattsburgh State.

Manhattanville earned is seventh consecutive ECAC Women's East Title this past season.  The Valiants finished the year with a 17-2-0 league record and currently have a 24-6-0 overall record.  This will mark the third time the Valiants have reached the National Championship (2001-02 and 2002-03). 

Defending National Champion, and ECAC Women's West member, Plattsburgh State defeated league rival Elmira College (2-0) in the semifinals to advance to its third consecutive National Championship game.  The Cardinals finished the year with a 14-1-1 league record and currently have a 24-3-1 overall record.

The Valiants hosted the Cardinals in two regular season games back in late November.  In the first game on Saturday, November 24 the Valiants defeated the Cardinals 4-3.  On Sunday, November 25 the Cardinals beat Manhattanville 2-1.
