Wentworth's Olitch Nabs Player of the Week
Player of the Week
Jeff Olitch-Wentworth
Senior, Forward, Calgary, Alberta/Helena (NAHL)
In a 2-0 week for the Leopards, Olitch scored four goals and
assisted on three others for seven points. He had a goal and
two assists in a 5-3 win over Johnson & Wales and recorded a
hat trick and an assist in a 6-1 win over Nichols. Five of
his seven points on the week came on the power play.
Goalie of the Week
Jeff Rose-Suffolk
Junior, Collinsville, Conn./Valley (EJHL)
Rose stopped 40 shots on Saturday to pick up his seventh win of the
season as Suffolk defeated Curry College, 3-2, in overtime.
Rookie of the Week
Shaun Jameson-Wentworth
Freshman, Defender, Long Beach, Calif./St. Louis
(NAHL)
Jameson scored three goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for
the Leopards. He has a shorthanded, empty-net goal that
sealed a 5-3 win at Johnson & Wales and had two goals
(including the game winner) in a 6-1 win over Nichols. All of
his points came on special teams.
Honor Roll
Michael Jarboe-Wentworth
Freshman, Grosse Point Park, Mich./Marquette (NAHL)
Jarboe kept Nichols off the board over the final 36:15 in a 6-1 win
over the Bison. He stopped the first 14 shots he saw,
including 11 in the first period. He finished the game with
26 saves to remain undefeated (7-0) on the season.
Max Carter-Johnson & Wales
Freshman, Forward, Royal Oak, Mich./Northern Mass
Cyclones
Carter scored the game-winning goal in the team's 4-1 victory over
Salve Regina on Saturday.
Kory Grahl-Western New England College
Sophomore, Forward, San Diego, Calif./San Diego Surf
Grahl had two goals and four assists, which is a career high game
total in a win over Assumption. He also tacked on another goal in a
3-2 loss to Curry.
Pat Welch-Suffolk
Senior, Dorchester, Mass./Bay State Breakers (EJHL)
Welch scored the game-winner fifty-five seconds into the overtime
period to give the Rams a 3-2 win over Curry College on Saturday.
It was Welch's second goal of the night as he got Suffolk on the
board early in the first period.
