Brandon Hammermeister of Southern New Hampshire University Named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week

Player of the Week

Brandon Hammermeister, Southern New Hampshire
Senior, Forward - Calgary, Alberta/Fernie Ghostriders

Hammermeister was named to the All-Tournament Team at the PAL/Stovepipe Tournament. The senior totaled two goals and three assists in an 8-5 win over UMass Boston, while scoring the Penmen's lone goal in a 3-1 setback to Plymouth State in the championship game.

Goalie of the Week

Justin Marriott, Wentworth Institute of Technology  
Sophomore -
St. Clair Shores, Mich./Valley (EJHL)

Marriott turned aside 41 of the 42 shots he faced to defeat Connecticut College, 3-1. It was the second 40-plus save game of the season for him.

Rookie of the Week

Jason Yuel, Curry College
Forward -
Winnipeg, Manitoba/Winnipeg Saints (MJHL)

Yuel, in a 2-1 week for the Colonels, scored three total goals and added two assists for five points on the week. The freshman scored one goal and added two assists against conference opponent Framingham State College and scored Curry's only two goals against Babson College.

Honor Roll

John Haley, Nichols College
Freshman, Forward - Shelburne, Vt./Green Mountain Glades

Haley scored a pair of goals, including one shorthanded, in a 4-2 win over Colby on Saturday. He also scored one goal against Bowdoin and one against Salve Regina, giving him four goals on the week.

Pete Lucchesi, Stonehill College
Freshman, Goalie - Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee

Lucchesi recorded 31 saves in his second collegiate start shutting out Fitchburg State for two periods before allowing a lone goal in the third. The freshman held Fitchburg scoreless in overtime to earn Stonehill's first victory of the season.

Jeff Fedyk, Wentworth Institute of Technology
Freshman, Defense - Calgary, Alberta

Fedyk had a pair of helpers in a 3-1 win over Connecticut College. He assisted on the goal that tied the game at one-all with 3:35 left in the middle stanza and then assisted on the game-winner at 3:32 of the third period.
