Neumann's Valois Nabs Player of the Week Award

Player of the Week

Mat Valois-Neumann University
Sophomore, Forward, Ottawa, Ontario/Brockville Braves

Valois notched three goals and two assists as Neumann swept Cortland St. over the weekend. The forward scored the first goal in both games. In the 7-5 win on Friday, Valois scored the first goal. On Saturday, he netted two goals and two assists in the 5-2 win. One of his assists came on the game-winning goal.

Goalie of the Week

Steve Parry-Manhattanville College
Junior, Clearwater, Fla./Springfield Falcons (EJHL)

Parry was impressive in his first two starts of the season last week, allowing just two goals in victories over Connecticut College and Buffalo State. The junior made his first start in over a year on Tuesday at Connecticut College and made 14 saves on 16 shots, then came back on Friday night against Buffalo State and stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn the third shutout of his collegiate career.

Rookie of the Week

Andrew Love- Neumann University
Forward, Mississauga, Ontario/Lindsey Muskies

Love netted three goals and two assists in the Knights sweep at Cortland St. On Friday evening, Love netted two of the Knights four goals in the third period. Both goals came on the power play. The freshman's first goal tied the game at 4-all. His second goal was an empty netter the seal the win. In the 5-2 win, Love assisted on the first goal. He then assisted on a goal in third and scored the fifth goal.

Honor Roll

Tim Coffman-Utica College
Sophomore, Forward, Elverson, Pa./Laconia (AJHL)

Coffman totaled five points on three goals and two assists in two games this past week for the Pioneers.  He netted one goal and added two assists in the Pioneers' 5-4 loss to nationally-ranked No. 1 Oswego State on Tuesday.  He added two goals in the Pioneers 4-4 tie against Castleton in front of 3,582 fans at the Aud on Saturday.  He currently leads the team with 18 points on ten goals and eight assists this season. 

Matt Piegza-Manhattanville College
Senior, Forward, Chicago, Ill./New Jersey Hitmen (EJHL)

Piegza scored two goals and added two assists as Manhattanville won all three of its games last week. The senior recorded a goal and an assist in each of the Valiants' final two wins of the week against Buffalo State and SUNY Geneseo, while also posting a team-pest +3 rating on the week.

Eric Peterson-Utica College
Freshman, Forward, Newton, N.H./Valley (EJHL)

Peterson netted a goal in each game for the Pioneers this past week.  He netted one goal in the Pioneers' 5-4 loss to nationally-ranked No. 1 Oswego on Tuesday.  He also added one goal in the Pioneers' 4-4 tie against Castleton on Saturday.  He is tied for second on the team with six goals this season. 

Connor Krukowski-Manhattanville College
Freshman, Defender, Edmonton, Alberta/Nanaimo Clippers (BCHL)

Krukowski played a big role in Valiant wins over Connecticut College and Buffalo State by recording a goal and two assists. The blueliner recorded the first two points of his career via the assist in Tuesday's win over the Camels, then made his first collegiate goal the game-winner in a victory over the Bengals on Friday night.
