Elmira College Alum Signs with Binghamton Senators

Elmira College graduate and men's hockey standout Jarrett Konkle '05 has signed a contract with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

While a member of the Soaring Eagles hockey team, Konkle played in 98 games tallying 68 goals and 57 assists to finish his career with 125 points.  Upon his graduation, Konkle spent a year with the Elmira Jackals of the UHL where he set a single season goals scored record with 37.  He also added 25 assists in registering 62 points in 74 games.

The 2007-08 season saw Konkle move to the Fresno Falcons of the East Coast Hockey League.  In his year and half with Fresno, Konkle recorded 31 goals and 62 points in 71 games played.  After the Falcons folded, Konkle signed with the Johnstown Chiefs for the remainder of the season playing in 28 games and scoring 14 goals.

The Senators are the AHL farm team of the Ottawa Senators of the NHL.  In the 12 games Konkle has played with the Senators he has 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists.  Konkle is the third Elmira College Hockey player in the last six years to play in the AHL.  He joins Chris Mann '05 who played for the Syracuse Crunch and current EC assistant coach Dean Jackson '03 who played a game with the Cleveland Barons.
