Babson's Woods Earns Player of the Week

Player of the Week

Terry Woods-Babson
Junior, Forward, Duxbury, Mass./Andover Academy

Woods scored five goals in leading Babson to back-to-back wins this weekend. On Friday night, he scored two goals - both of which came in the second period - to help the Beavers earn a 6-0 win at the University of New England. The following day, Woods recorded a hat trick in a 5-1 victory over Southern Maine, scoring twice in the first period and again in the third. Woods now leads Babson with 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points this season.

Goalie of the Week

Zeke Testa-Babson
Freshman, Wellesley, Mass./Berkshire School

Testa went 2-0 with a shutout, a 0.50 goals against average, and a .984 save percentage in a 2-0 week for Babson. On Friday night, he stopped all 36 shots that he faced to earn his first career shutout as the Beavers blanked the University of New England, 6-0. Then on Saturday, Testa again went the distance in net, making 25 saves and allowing just one goal in a 5-1 win over Southern Maine. For the week, Testa stopped 61 of 61 shots in 120 minutes of action.

Rookie of the Week

Colin Mulvey-Norwich
Forward, Worcester, Mass./Valley Warriors (EJHL)

Mulvey scored two goals, including the game-winning tally, and added an assist in NU's 8-0 shutout of Wesleyan on Friday. He also added another goal and another assist in the Cadets' 7-4 win over Trinity on Saturday. He has scored eight goals and dished out two assists on the season.

Honor Roll

Kris Kranzky-UMass Boston
Senior, Forward, Glendora, Calif./Nichols College

In three games, the senior tallied five points on four goals, including a game-winner and an assist.  The forward netted a pair of goals, both on the power play, in the Beacons' 5-0 victory at UMass Dartmouth on January 19.  Kranzky registered an assist at University of Southern Maine on January 22 and came back the next day to score two more goals, including the game-winner with just 1:27 to play to give UMass Boston a 5-4 victory at University of New England.

Chris Wilcox-UMass Boston
Freshman, Defender, Hollywood, Fla./Valley Junior Warriors (EJHL)

In three games, Wilcox tallied a pair of goals.  The freshman helped UMass Boston's defense preserve a 5-0 shutout at UMass Dartmouth on January 19 and scored his first two collegiate goals at University of Southern Maine on January 22.

Alex Wyse-Saint Anselm
Junior, Goalie, Amherst, N.Y./Clarkson University

Wyse made 29 saves in a complete-game shutout against the No. 6 Middlebury College Panthers on Saturday, to lead the Hawks to their first defeat of the Panthers since 1994.

John Hennessey-Saint Anselm
Junior, Westwood, Mass./Thayer Academy

Hennessey had one goal and one assist on Friday night to contribute towards both of the Hawks' goals against the No. 15 Williams Ephs. He then added another assist on Saturday evening against No. 6 Middlebury.
