Saint Anselm's Noonan Named Player of the Week

Player of the Week
Coleman Noonan-Saint Anselm
Junior, Forward, Norfolk, Mass./Catholic Memorial
Noonan recorded four goals, including a game-winner, and two
assists for six points. His assist in Saturday's game against
Southern Maine was his 50th career point, and he notched his 30th
career assist on Sunday against the University of New England.
Goalie of the Week
Arthur Hollinger-Castleton
Freshman, Homer Glen, Ill./El Paso (WSHL)
Hollinger led Castleton to a perfect 2-0 weekend making 29 saves in
a 3-1 win over Trinity on Friday, January 8. Hollinger, coming off
of a stellar performance the day before, followed with his
first-collegiate shutout turning away 22 shots in a 5-0 victory
against Wesleyan. Over the weekend, Hollinger stopped a total of 51
shots and improved his record to 3-1-1 on the season.
Rookie of the Week
Kyle Thomas-Norwich
Forward, Waltham, Mass./South Shore Kings (EJHL)
Thomas netted his first career hat trick in Norwich's 4-1 win over
No. 2-ranked Plattsburgh State on Tuesday. For the season, Thomas
leads the Cadets in goals (10), while listing fifth on the team in
points (12).
Honor Roll
Paul Snell-Saint Anselm
Junior, Forward, Groton, Mass./N.E. Jr. Huskie
Snell notched four assists and two goals for six points this week.
He scored four of those points on Tuesday night against Franklin
Pierce, recording a goal and three assists. Then on Saturday, he
knocked in his 20th career goal against Southern Maine.
Tim Geverd-Saint Michael's
Senior, Defense, Horsham, Pa./New Hampshire Junior
Monarch
Geverd tallied two goals and an assist in Friday's 5-5 tie against
Colby College, the first time the Purple Knights have not lost to
Colby in program history. Geverd added another goal and assist to
the Bowdoin game the following afternoon. In addition to his
ability to put points on the board for the Purple Knights, Geverd
played a key defensive role in both contests over the weekend.
Kevin Fairweather-Saint Anselm
Junior, Woburn, Mass./UConn
Fairweather made 77 saves in three complete games this
week, to help the Hawks go 3-0. He also picked up his second career
assist on Sunday, getting the puck to Nick Wheeler for the
game-winning goal.
Josh Harris-Castleton
Freshman, Forward, Torrance, Calif./Breakers (EJHL)
Harris pushed himself into a two-way tie for second place in the
ECAC East freshman scoring leaderboard notching four points over
the weekend in two Castleton wins. Against Trinity, Harris helped
setup the Spartans first goal at 10:09 of the first period. Tied
1-1 in the third period, Harris tallied the game-winning goal at
13:27, his fourth of the season. On the following day in a 5-0 over
Wesleyan, Harris added two assists helping Castleton to a perfect
2-0 weekend.
