Pat McLaughlin of Babson College and Steve Culbertson of Castleton State College Named ECAC Men's East Co-Player of the Week Presented By Turfer Athletic

Pat McLaughlin, Babson College
Junior, Forward - Berlin, Mass./Cushing

McLaughlin recorded two goals and two assists for four points in a
2-0 weekend for Babson. He scored the game-winning goal with 4:21
left in the third period of a 4-2 victory over then sixth-ranked
Middlebury on Friday. The following day, he scored the Beavers'
second goal and later added two assists, including one on the
game-winner, in a 7-2 victory over Williams. McLaughlin now leads
the team with 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points on the season.
Steve Culbertson, Castleton State College
Sophomore, Forward/Bowling Green, Ohio/Alpena

Culbertson tallied two goals and two assists in Castleton's 2-0
weekend. Culbertson had one goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over
Saint Michael's including an assist on Evan Romeo's game-winner. In
Saturday's 4-3 win over No. 6 Norwich, Culbertson started a
four-goal barrage by the Spartans, evening the score at 1-1 early
in the first period.
Co-Goalie of the Week
Skylar Nipps, Babson College
Junior - Orlando, Fla./St. Paul's
School
Nipps played 111 of 120 minutes in net in a 2-0 week for Babson.
On Friday night, he stopped 24 shots, including 10 in the third
period, while playing all 60 minutes in a 4-2 victory over then
sixth-ranked Middlebury. He then played all but nine minutes in a
7-2 victory over Williams on Saturday, stopping 16 of the 17 shots
he faced. For the week, Nipps made 40 saves and allowed three goals
for a .930 save percentage and a 1.62 GAA.
Jeff Swanson, Castleton State College
Junior - Grand Haven, Mich./Tecumseh

Swanson earned a pair of wins in between the pipes for Castleton
this weekend. The junior goalie stopped 22 shots in a 6-1 win over
Saint Michael's on Friday. Swanson backed that up with 29 saves,
including 14 in the second period, in a 4-3 victory over No. 6
Norwich.
Rookie of the Week
Eric Tufman, UMass Boston
Forward - Abington, Pa./Philadelphia Little
Flyers
Tufman, in a pair of games, netted a pair of goals for two points and owned a plus/minus of plus-two. The forward tallied two goals in the Beacons' 4-3 victory over then nationally-ranked number six Middlebury College on February 16. Tufman's first goal of the day came on the power play and gave UMB a 3-1 lead over the Panthers and his second score of the afternoon proved to be the game-winner as he gave the Beacons a 4-3 lead with just 1:39 to play in the game.

Anctil led Saint Michael's back from 3-1 in the third period to
a 4-3 win over Skidmore College with two goals and one assist on
the night.
Ryan Donovan, UMass Boston
Sophomore, Goalie - Rexford, NY/Hartford

In two games, the sophomore saw action in 125 minutes and allowed five goals for a 2.40 goals against average, while making 79 saves to post a .940 save percentage in gaining a tie with Williams College on February 15 and a win vs. then nationally-ranked number six Middlebury College the next day. Donovan stopped 37 shots vs. Williams and came within two-tenths of a second of a win before the Ephs scored on a scramble in front of the net in a 2-2 tie. The second-year goaltender came back the next day to stop 42 of 45 shots in the Beacons' 4-3 win over Middlebury College.
Pat Gallagher, Saint Anselm College
Junior, Goalie - Framingham, Mass./Rivers School
Gallagher picked up three wins on the week including a shutout
over Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday. Gallagher made 16 saves in
the shutout, 45 saves in a 2-1 win over Amherst, and 29 saves in a
3-2 win over Hamilton. Gallagher posted a 1.00 GAA and a .968
saves percentage for the week.
