Kris Kranzky of UMass Boston Named ECAC Men's East Player of the Week Presented By Turfer Athletic

Player of the Week

Kris Kranzky, UMass Boston
Sophomore, Forward - Glendora, Calif./Nichols College

Kranzky tallied six points on three goals and three assists in two wins. Kranzky netted a pair of goals and added an assist in the Beacons' 5-4 win over Suffolk University on December 28 in the first round of the 43rd Annual Codfish Bowl. The sophomore came back the next day to score a goal and add two assists in UMass Boston's 5-4 overtime victory over Fitchburg State College to win the Codfish Bowl championship for the first time since 1997 and the third time in school history. Kranzky was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player for his efforts.

Co-Goalie of the Week

Jason Zuck, Saint Anselm College
Sophomore - Clifton, N.J./N.J. Hitmen

Zuck earned his first shutout of the season on Sunday with 20 saves in a 3-0 blanking of Johnson and Wales. On Friday the sophomore made 19 saves in the 6-3 win.

Tyler Bilton, Saint Michael's College
Junior - Penticton, B.C./Finlandia University

Bilton made 41 saves in a pair of wins over Concordia (Minn.) (3-2) and Becker (3-1) at the Saint Michael's Holiday Classic to earn all-tournament honors and help the team to their first three-game winning streak in three years.

Rookie of the Week

Eric Tufman, UMass Boston
Forward - Abington, Pa./Philadelphia Little Flyers

Tufman collected five points on three goals and a pair of assists in two wins. The forward netted the game-winning goal with just 1:38 left to play for his only point vs. Suffolk University on December 28 in the first round of the 43rd Annual Codfish Bowl. Tufman was in on four of the Beacon's five goals in their 5-4 overtime victory over Fitchburg State College on December 29. The rookie netted a pair of goals and assisted on two others, including the game-winning score in OT. It was the Beacons first Codfish Bowl championship since 1997 and the third in school history.

Honor Roll

Ryan Mero, Saint Michael's College
Junior, Forward - Peekskill, N.Y./Avon Old Farms

Mero scored a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Concordia (Minn.) and also in a 3-1 victory over Becker at the Saint Michael's Holiday Classic. The junior donned all-tournament honors for his four-point outing while leading the team to three straight wins for the first time since 2004.

Paul Snell, Saint Anselm College
Freshman, Forward - Groton, Mass./N.E. Jr. Huskies

Snell scored the game-winner in both games against Johnson & Wales. Snell scored three goals over the two games against Johnson & Wales, leading the Hawks to two victories.
