Cape Cod, Mass. - New England College seniors Michael Mullen and Brian Pouliot recently signed contracts with the Pensacola Pilots of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Mullen and Pouliot are coming off successful careers with the Pilgrims. Pouliot, who is from Hooksett, New Hampshire, amassed 59 points in 43 games for New England scoring 23 goals and adding 33 assists. Mullen, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, scored 32 career goals and added 46 assists for a total of 78 points in 75 games during his Pilgrim career.

Mullen and Pouliot each made their debut for the Pilots on March 19 against the Columbia Inferno. Mullen recorded three shots on goal and a two penalty minutes. Pouliot registered one shot on goal, as the Pilots dropped a 4-3 decision to the Inferno.

To date Mullen and Pouliot have played seven games for the Pilots. Mullen has yet to record a point and is a -1 with two penalty minutes for Pensacola. Pouliot has recorded a goal and an assist and is -2 in his time with the Pilots. Pouliot netted his first goal in 2-1 win against the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Sunday, March 30.
