NEWARK, NJ - Most Outstanding Player John Jabar and senior forward Jonah Silk scored in the 85th and 86th minutes to boost Drew to a 2-1 win over Farmingdale State in the ECAC Metro Men's Soccer Championship match on Rutgers-Newark's Alumni Field.

The second-seeded Rangers (11-5-5) needed both goals as Ram freshman midfielder Joe Brantmeyer put back the rebound of a penalty kick in the final minute to post his fourth goal in two games and turn Silk's goal into the game winner.

Drew controlled play all evening, building up a 26-9 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks, but Farmingdale senior goalkeeper Patrick Gubbins denied the Rangers with four saves and freshman defender Brian Anderson cleared a certain goal from the middle of the net in the second half to thwart Drew.

Junior midfielder Matthew Greenberg crossed a ball from the right side to Jabar who chipped a shot over a diving Gubbins to break the stalemate with exactly 5:54 left.  Then, senior forward Greg Zizik sent a through pass over the midfield line to sprinting Silk who gathered the ball on the left side and pushed a shot past a charging Gubbins just 1:40 later.

Drew senior goalkeeper Dave Brigandi made six saves to shutout the Rams until the final seconds.
