DOVER, Del. - With runners on second and third in the bottom of the tenth, Wesley's Bryan Reshetar hit an 0-2 pitch over the drawn in infield to drive home the winning run and secure the 2010 ECAC South Championship for the Wolverines.

After the game, he was named the Most Outstanding Player in the tournament.

The game-winning hit came after both teams came from behind in the ninth inning.  Wesley (29-13) led 4-3 with two outs and no one on in the top of the ninth.  Back-to-back singles through the left side by pinch hitter Tim Dougherty and Bobby Callan put the winning run on base for Mathieu Vallieres.  The left fielder took the second pitch he saw and drove a mammoth three run shot over the right field wall to erase Wesley's lead and give Neumann (20-18-1) a 6-4 lead.

Reshetar led off the bottom of the inning with a single to center and Seth Hastings was hit by a pitch to put the tying run on base.  Greg McKee bunted both runners into scoring position for pinch hitter Steve Perone.  Perone hit one in the hole on the left side for an infield single allowing Reshetar to score.  Billy Crowe then ripped an RBI single up the middle to tie the game.

The Knights were set down in order in the top of the 10th before Grant Morlock walked on four pitches to lead off the bottom of the inning for Wesley.  Kevin Murphy bunted and was safe on an error that allowed Morlock to move to third.  Then with one out, Reshetar fell behind 0-2 before taking a pitch over the second baseman's head with the infield in allowing Morlock to trot home with the winning run.

Callan had led off the game with a triple and scored on an RBI single by Vallieres, but Wesley scored twice in both the first and second innings to take a 4-1 lead.  In the first, Morlock walked, moved to second and scored on a single by Murphy.  Murphy then stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch before a Tyler Burns sacrifice fly gave the Wolverines the lead.

Hastings led of the second with a triple and McKee brought him home with a sacrifice fly.  Crowe then reached on an error and scored on Rob Benedict's RBI double to stretch the lead to 4-1.

A Matt Grossi single in the fourth cut it to 4-2 before the Knights rallied in the sixth.  Gary Mitchell doubled to lead off the inning and scored on a one out hit by Grossi.  Infield hits by Kevin Flanigan and Brent Tamane loaded the bases, but Wesley's DJ Keckler struck out the next two batters to end the threat.

The exciting finish in the ninth and 10th negated a strong outing by Keckler, who tossed the first eight innings, allowing just eight hits and a walk and struck out eight.

Knight starter Josh Krautwald was equally impressive through eight innings, holding the Wolverines to just four hits over that span before allowing Reshetar and Hastings to reach base to open the ninth.  Neumann then turned to the bullpen, which allowed both runners to score.

Kyle McGuire blew the save in the ninth, but picked up his eighth win of the year in the 10th.

Reshetar went 2-for-5 in the game, scored in the ninth inning comeback and drove home the winning run.  Morlock walked and scored twice, while Hastings also crossed home plate twice.

Callan had three hits for Neumann, including a triple.  Vallieres had two hits and four RBIs, while Grossi drove home two runs on two hits.
