The University of Connecticut wins the 2011 ECAC DI Indoor Championships
The 2011 ECAC Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Competition will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and continue through Sunday afternoon. A full schedule of events is available below.
The University of Connecticut claimed the 2010 ECAC Indoor Championship, with Seton Hall University finishing as the runner-up and George Mason in third. Connecticut will return in 2011, as over 60 ECAC institutions will compete for the indoor title.
The Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center opened in 1995, named after the former Boston Celtics legend. The field house, which has frequently held national track and field events, seats 3,500 and contains a state-of-the-art 200-meter oval running track, an 8-lane 55-meter dash runway, and provisions for high jump, long/triple jump, and pole vault.
