University of Pennsylvania wins ECAC Division I Womens Golf Championship

The ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championship was a successful event with the University of Pennsylvania garnering team championship honors with a total two-round score of 616 beating the University of Albany and Lehigh University, the two runner-up teams who posted 634 team scores.
The medalist and individual champion with a two-round score of 151 (80 and 71) was Sarah Sideranko of the University of Harford. Three golfers tied for individual runner-up honors, all of whom posted scores of 152, one stroke behind Ms. Sideranko.
The 2009 ECAC Division I Women's Golf Championship took place on the weekend of October 3-4. The weekend featured two days and 72 holes of championship competition at the Kiskiack Golf Club in Williamsburg, VA.
Eleven schools from four different states competed in this year's Championship. Participating was The University at Albany, Hofstra University, Lehigh University, Mount St. Mary's University, St. Francis College (N.Y.), Saint Francis University (Pa), The University of Pennsylvania, SUNY Purchase, Sacred Heart University, Towson University, and Wagner College.
Competition began at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by another 8:00 a.m. start on Sunday to conclude the Championship.
